After rumors that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild might get pushed back yet again, Nintendo confirmed that the game—which promises to shake up the Zelda formula in place since 1998's Ocarina of Time—will release on March 3 alongside the Switch.

The Wii U version will release on the same day.

Yep, 3rd. Sorry about that! We were working late last night, and "17" was placeholder text I forgot to change over.

No worries, I just posted the comment as I assumed there was a mistake and you guys would want to fix it :)

A lot of my posts are coming off as snarky recently, and I'm really not intending to!

Yeah, it seems hit or miss. I'm hoping Japanese voiceover with English subtitles is an option, as shown in the trailer that played during the presentation.

It's region free so that actually seems plausible.

So.... I may or may not be able to swing getting a Switch at launch so I'm wondering how insane it would be to get this on the Wii U. Have they said what the differences are, other than the Switch giving you the portability angle?

Like I would assume the Switch version would look better but I dunno.

Lord knows it wouldn't be the first time I've bought a Zelda game more than once.

That trailer was exceptional. Fantastic music, gave me chills. Going to play Zelda ALL WEEKEND LONG.
