If you watched our video of the Warthog from the Halo series in action, you may be wondering how exactly you can drive this beast across the Outbacks of Australia. The Warthog is one of the best Extreme Off Road vehicles in Forza Horizon 3, which is why Microsoft isn’t giving it to just anyone who plays the game.
Fortunately, we know how you can drive this beast of a vehicle as soon as you start playing Forza Horizon 3. Read on to learn more!
Driving Evolved
It was a huge surprise to hear the Warthog would be included in Forza Horizon 3 as we can’t imagine anywhere else but the wide open country of Australia to drive it across. Fortunately, if you’re a fan of Microsoft Game Studios titles, specifically the Halo series, you’re in luck as you should already know exactly how to drive the Warthog in Forza Horizon 3.
For those who have yet to be met with a download code for the 2554 AMG Transport Dynamics M12S Warthog CST, which is a civilian transport alternative to the M12 Force Application Vehicle, that’s because you need to have played either Halo 5: Guardians or Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Xbox One in order to receive a download code for the vehicle. The download code should have been sent out during the week of September 5th via an Xbox Live Message.
Microsoft doesn’t mention if those who purchase either game after Forza Horizon 3 launches will be given a code for the Warthog, but we can’t imagine fans of the series spending that much just to drive around in the iconic vehicle.
No Halo? No Problem!
While owning either Halo 5: Guardians or Halo: The Master Chief Collection is the easiest way to start driving the Warthog in Forza Horizon 3, it isn’t the only option you have. Thankfully, Microsoft has revealed players will be able to add the Warthog to their garage through a special #Forzathon event that will launch in October. When exactly this special event will take place is unknown at this time, although we’ll certainly report when it will launch as we’re sure you’re dying to get your hands on the Warthog.
Until then, there are over 350 vehicles to drive in Forza Horizon 3 and plenty of Extreme Off Road vehicles. If you can’t gain access to the Warthog as soon as you pick the game up, just be patient and wait for the upcoming #Forzathon event to take place. After that, we’re sure there will be other opportunities to earn the Warthog in Forza Horizon 3, and we’ll also be sure to update this guide once we hear more opportunities.
