Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens Announced
Relive all of your favorite nostalgic moments from two months ago, now in adorable plastic brick form.
Update: WBIE has officially announced Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The title will launch on June 28, 2016 and will introduce a host of new gameplay mechanics that will allow players to build, battle, and fly through the galaxy while also exploring new story content that took place between Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Star Wars fans can expect to play as all of the characters from The Force Awakens, including Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, and BB-8. Characters from The First Order will also be playable, including Kylo Ren, General Hux, and Captain Phasma.
Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens will introduce new gameplay features, including a new "Multi-Builds" system. The system allows players to choose from multiple building options to help advance their progress. That's not all as the new Blaster Battles allows players to utilize the surrounding environments to drive back the First Order while arena-based battles and dogfights will also be included, which will allow players to experience high-speed flight gameplay.
Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. Both the PS3 and PS4 versions will have access to the Droid Character Pack and the Phantom Limb Level Pack.
Original Story:
A trailer for another Lego Star Wars game has apparently leaked ahead of its time.
The YouTube channel Games Cage (via Star Wars Underworld) shows the 30-second teaser, featuring many of the recent film's most iconic moments in plastic brick form. However, given the low quality of the video and the lack of an accompanying announcement, it seems likely this was screencaptured and not meant to go out quite yet. The purported trailer pegs the release date as June 28.
This does align with rumors of an impending announcement that began late last night, after a now-pulled Amazon Italy listing. We expect an official announcement, with a cleaner trailer, to show up sometime today.

I remember watching Dinosaurs as a kid and getting really freaked out by the Triceratops boss. I enjoyed Simspons as a kid, but didn't understand most of the jokes, pop culture or context. My parents were told by the local clergy that they shouldn't let their kids watch it because it would rot our minds or make us tempted to do bad stuff. So they didn't let us watch it. We had to be sneaky or watch it at sinful friend's houses.

They were really bang-on with Lego Avengers and the jokes. Not everything's about "lol it's broken".
Of particular note, Lego games don't like to show character deaths, so there's always these cool little sight gags going on that if you pay attention, every vehicle, every kill; there's some skin-of-their-teeth method of escape.

Amazon just listed the Deluxe Edition for the game:
http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Star-Wars-Force-Awakens-Deluxe/dp/B01BCMBJJU/
For $70 comes with:
- Game
- Season Pass
- Finn FN-2187 mini figure
Now I just got the new Maz Kanata Lego set which comes with Finn and two FO stormtroopers (including the infamous TR8R). You can just stick Finn's head on the spare Stormtrooper body and then give Poe back his jacket.
