Fable Legends begins its adventure on October 13 [Update]
Microsoft is touting a lot of features for the upcoming Fable Legends, but kept its release date most under wraps, as an October 13 release date was quietly unveiled yesterday.
Update: The dating on the Microsoft-issued video appears to be erroneous. The publisher has issued the following statement:
“We look forward to opening the world of ‘Fable Legends’ to players this holiday, but don’t have anything more to share on specific release timing. The date listed in the San Diego Comic-Con Xbox recap video was incorrect and we apologize for any confusion."
Original story: Microsoft has been touting the upcoming Fable Legends as a major step forward in bringing Xbox franchises to PC. Not only is the game set to come to Windows 10, but it will also feature cross-platform play with its Xbox One counterpart. For such a milestone game, it's a little perplexing that the game was given a release date with little fanfare, but that seems to be the case here.
A Comic-Con recap video posted on the Xbox YouTube page yesterday (via Game Informer) quietly revealed an October 13 release date for Fable Legends. In addition to offering cross-platform play between PC and Xbox One, the game will also be free-to-play, meaning adventurers can step in Albion without an entry fee to start.
