E3 2015: Halo 5: Guardians debuts at Xbox press conference with live demo
Microsoft has revealed more information surrounding Halo 5: Guardians.
Microsoft has been steadily releasing new information regarding 343 Industries’ upcoming Halo 5: Guardians over the past couple of months. We already know the upcoming Halo title will feature two stories and will possibly have a role reversal at some point in its narrative, and today, we’re learning more about Halo 5: Guardians from Microsoft’s E3 press conference.
343 Industries took the stage to show a live demo of Halo 5: Guardians as we watch a piece of its story from the perspective of Locke. In the demo, we see Locke and his group are searching for Master Chief to find his assault rifle was left behind. During their search, they're attacked by Covenant forces, many of which appear to be new to the Halo series. As they continue their search, Locke is captured by an enemy Covenant saying Master Chief is welcome, but Locke and his group, are not.
Halo 5: Guardians will offer seamless drop-in / drop-out co-op play and a new 24-player multiplayer mode called Warzone. Warzone has two squads fighting against one another: one squad is lead by Master Chief, the other is lead by Spartan Locke. Each squad is fighting the other as well as AI-controlled enemies in a huge battle that may be the most ambitious game mode ever conceived for the Halo series.
