Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls on PS4 receives its first major content update today [Update]
Those looking for more content for Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition won't have to look far as a new update released today adds a ton of new content.
Update: The Xbox One version of Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls has also received the same 2.1.0 patch.
Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition will be receiving its first major content update on the PlayStation 4 starting today.
Patch 2.1.0 brings a number of new features, such as a “What’s New” screen. This screen will appear whenever their copy of Diablo 3 is updated with a new patch and will deliver a quick overview of new features that are included.
Treasure Goblins have already been hunted by players whenever they’re available for plundering, but there will now be a chance for them to spawn a new portal into “The Vault” when they’re defeated. The Vault is said to carry “mighty treasures,” although it also houses Sanctuary’s newest boss: the Baroness Greed.
The Vault isn’t the only new location players can adventure to as The Cesspools and Greater Rifts will also be available starting today. Players will have a chance to encounter The Cesspools when adventuring in Nephalem and Greater Rifts and is based off the original designs of the sewers of Westmarch.
As for Greater Rifts, they’re a special type of timed Nephalem Rift that will offer an infinite number of levels, each of which will become increasingly more difficult. Players who complete a Greater Rift will be able to choose between one of two rewards: a chance to upgrade their Legendary Gems or continue to the next Greater Rift level if they’re able to complete it within its allotted time.
Legendary Gems are also new in today’s update as they are a new type of gem that can drop within Greater Rifts and The Vault to offer powerful abilities when paired with Rings and Amulets.
Last, but not least, players will finally be able to add a socket to any of their weapons that don’t already have one by using Ramaladni’s Gift. The item will drop randomly in the game world and will be consumed once it’s used.
