The alien menace from Call of Duty: Ghosts' Extinction mode have already invaded the frozen tundra of Alaska and have expanded their reach to the Pacific Ocean. A new trailer for Extinction's second episode, titled 'Mayday,' shows how dire the situation on the high seas has become, setting the stage for tomorrow's Devastation DLC.

'Mayday' takes place along the Tasman Sea, with the Quick Reaction Force called in to investigate a mysterious abandoned ship. Aliens have taken control of the vessel. Among them are the new wall-crawling Seeders that fire projectiles and transform into turrets. There's also the giant monstrosity known as the Kraken, which towers over the ship, just like its namesake.

For more, check out the trailer below. Call of Duty: Ghosts' Devastation DLC is set to release (the Kraken) tomorrow, April 3, on Xbox One and Xbox 360 as part of the game's Season Pass, otherwise it'll run for $14.99.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
