Batman: Arkham Knight coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One
A UK retailer seems to have leaked Rocksteady's next project: a next-gen entry in its Arkham series called Batman: Arkham Knight.
Updated with official details and trailer.
Rocksteady's next Batman game has been revealed. Titled Batman: Arkham Knight, it's slated for release this year on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This is also said to be Rocksteady's last Arkham title, and is set after the events of Arkham City.
Game Informer's upcoming April cover story promises more information on the sequel. It notes that the Batmobile is drivable, and the newly redesigned Gotham has wider roads to accommodate Batman's ride. Villains will include Scarecrow, Penguin, Two-Face, and Harley Quinn, among others.
Here's WB's official description:

Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment are announcing Batman: Arkham Knight, Rocksteady Studios’ conclusion to the series of award-winning titles Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Batman: Arkham Knight is based on DC Comics’ core Batman license and is scheduled to be released worldwide on PS4 in 2014.In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city that he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever. Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady’s uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise.

The marketing on Scarecrow being the main villain seems like a red herring. I don't think Scarecrow is really considered a major villain who can lead and get other villains like Two-Face and Penguin to follow him, none of the baddies in Arkham Knight's marketing include Hush and in Arkham City there was a major tease about Hush being the next main villain.

I can see where he's coming from. Origins wasn't much of a step up from City (where City made a huge leap forward from closed open area to a wide open one).
Origins merely improved the investigation sequences which was a nice touch but not nearly vital to the gameplay concept model. Multiplayer was also nice but no one who played the first Arkham games pined for a multiplayer mode.
In many ways Origins was a notch down from City.-

I actually agree. I enjoyed Asylum's structured approach more.
However I won't argue that City's wide open approach did change the game. I didn't walk out of City and think MOTS. I walked out of Origins thinking it was MOTS with City. Considering the amount of recycled assets and boss patterns. This on top of the many many bugs.
