Indie games offer cross-promotional sale on Wii U

A group of indie developers have gotten together to offer a cross-promotional sale on their Wii U games. If you own (or buy) Toki Tori 2, Mighty Switch Force, Runner 2, Spin the Bottle, or Giana Sisters, all of the others will be 60% off.

Several indie developers have gotten together to promote their wares on Wii U, offering steep discounts for buying multiple games. Toki Tori 2, Mighty Switch Force, Runner 2, Spin the Bottle: Bumpie's Party, and Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams are all on sale if you own or buy any one of them at the regular price, as part of the 'Super Indie Connection Sale.' It will run through February 13.

If you buy one of the games, or even if you just already own it, all of the others are 60% off. Spin the Bottle is the cheapest of the games at $8.99, so getting it is the lowest-priced way to get access to the rest of the discounts.

The cross-company promotion has also had each of the companies make a promotional video for one of the other games, and distribute it on their own YouTube channel. Two Tribes co-founder Collin van Ginkel said the goal is to raise awareness about indie presence on Wii U, and thank fans for support.

"We felt it is time for doing something that makes gamers aware that there are indie games on WiiU," he said. "At the same time we wanted to do something that is a big Thanks for the fans of our games who already bought them. With this promo, indie studios from different countries support each other."

Great games, cheap prices on good platform.

Shame I got three of those on PC already through Steam, otherwise would've bought quite many.
