Wargaming share details on the upcoming 8.11 update for World of Tanks today, which is set to hit in the near future. Among other additions, it will add a new game mode with a focus on grouping similar vehicles together.

The "Confrontation" mode will pair players with vehicles from one nation against a "comparable" opposing team that uses vehicles from a different nation. World of Tanks lead producer Mike Zhivets says this is in response to fan requests. "We have always valued World of Tanks community’s feedback above all else," he said. "The combat mode with national teams has been a popular request from our players for quite some time, and we are excited that they will soon be able to try it out."

The update will also add Windstorm, a new battle arena set in a European-like landscape. Two existing battle arenas will get new iterations: Himmelsdorf will get a winter version, and Ruinberg with rainfall and fires.
