Sure, Hollywood may be abuzz with today's Oscar nominations, but the video game industry's Academy-equivalent has also announced their picks for best-of-2013. The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) have revealed their nominees for the 17th annual DICE awards, to be held in Las Vegas next month.

The Last of Us leads the pack with 13 nominations, including Game of the Year. That towers over the next game, Grand Theft Auto V, which received seven nominations, including GOTY.

Other contenders for GOTY include Assassin's Creed 4, BioShock Infinite, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.

You can check out the full list of nominees here (PDF). Shacknews' very own game of the year reveal will happen very soon.
