Takedown: Red Sabre will hit PC and Xbox Live Arcade on September 20 for $14.99. The squad-based shooter hit its crowdfunding goal last year, before being picked up by 505 Games.

Creative director Christian Allen gave the date to Joystiq, and said it will release early for Kickstarter backers. The tactical game pays homage to titles like Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six. Check out our preview for more on the game.

I think I might give this a chance; between randomly placed enemy units and the goal of realistic weapon behavior. It's a hedge, though; hopefully the mousecode is sharp, and the AI is playable, but challenging (and on the friendly AI side, helpful).

I backed this one, and they sent beta codes out a few weeks ago, just haven't gotten around to trying it!
