If, for some reason, you need to play more Aliens: Colonial Marines, today is your lucky day. The last bit of DLC for the game is out today.

"Stasis Interrupted" is a new single-player campaign that promises to tell the story of what happened to Hicks between Aliens and Alien 3.

You'll play as three different characters in an interlocking story. Xbox Live Marketplace details the add-on:

Waking up unexpectedly from hypersleep, Lisbeth and others must figure out why the spaceship they are on, the Legato, has been diverted to intercept the Sulaco leaving LV-426's orbit. Fight your way through the alien infested spaceship, find out what Michael Weyland is after and discover what truly happened to Hicks.

The 2GB DLC is out now on Xbox 360 and Steam. It should hit PlayStation Network later today as well. It costs $9.99 (800 Microsoft Points), and is included with the Season Pass.

The way the treated Hicks after Aliens 3 was one of the worst travesties in any movie series :(

That movie doesn't exist, Hicks is still out there..somewhere.

it's right up there with Boba Fett's untimely demise. Hasn't Alien 3 been retconned as a "cryo-sleep dream" or some shit?

The special edition of Alien 3 is much better. If they would have allowed Fincher to finish it I bet it would have been great.

3 is actually a really good flick if you get over the need for it to be like the second one. Also blame Weaver for it if anything. If she had signed up instead of holding out for more money or whatever they might have gotten started while Newt was still vaguely the same age.

No one had a problem with Alien not being an action movie. That's not why people dislike the third movie.

Who did Gearbox outsource to for this DLC?

Most disappointing game of the year. I've licked my wounds and moved on.

I wonder if they ripped it away from TimeGate and shoved it off to some other dev for finishing. If it was finished internally, that would be depressing to work on, instead of Borderlands 2 DLC.

I prefer the Season Pass model honestly. I really wish the Mass Effect series had such a thing. I don't like the nickel and dime feel of most DLC but a season pass basically qualifies as an expansion pack to me.

What about the case where the DLC is very delayed, like Bioshock Infinite? Between that, and cases where they cut content out of the release schedule and make it DLC, I think it's irresponsible to offer pre-order DLC.

I don't disagree, but I also think that the thing about fools and their money is relevant

Yeah, that's why the only times I've preordered something, I've considered it equivalent to lighting that amount of money on fire. And the only game I've ever preordered is the Japanese version of Catherine (which was pretty damn good; even though I couldn't understand the dialogue, still lots of fun).

None of you have played the game, eh. My second time through the campaign, and the season pass Bug Hunt coop is fun (did a round of that last night; it takes ~2hrs for a 30 wave round). Looking forward to trying this dlc in a day or two.

It wasn't Hicks we saw for a brief moment in Alien 3, the actor wasn't even Michael Biehn. In fact Biehn threatened to sue production if they used his likeness.

After several decades, we finally find out who it actually is, and sure enough--this DLC makes Alien 3 better knowing Hicks isn't dead, what's unfortunate though is that Ripley has no idea.

Doesn't make any sense. They even have nametags at some point (as I recall) stating who they were in Alien 3 during their autopsies.

Plus, where else would Hicks be?? How could he survive the crash? It doesn't make much sense...

After playing this game for 10 minutes I'm convinced that not a single person working on this game saw the Aliens movie or just wasn't paying attention. Even my dad who doesn't play video games at all, was like "they take a lot of bullets to drop" and that was on easy mode. Pulse rifles fire exploding bullets, not slugs.
