Spelunky is a roguelike platformer which started life as a free PC game then was tarted up for Xbox 360, and is now coming back to PC with all that fanciness. Get it? Good. It's coming on August 8, developer Mossmouth has now announced.

It'll be sold through Steam and GOG, according to the announcement.

If you can still play the original version for free, why would you pay for this revamp? Because it updates an already-great game with better graphics, new music, more monsters, items, traps, and so on, along with reworked controls, that's why you big silly.

PlayStation 3 and Vita versions are in the works too, coming "soon".
