Call of Duty: Ghosts coming to Wii U, at some point

Infinity Ward is planning a Wii U version of Call of Duty: Ghosts after all, though its launch target is shrouded in mystery. Mysterious mystery.

Activision has been all-quiet on Call of Duty: Ghosts for Wii U, leaving us to assume the franchise would be skipping Nintendo's platform altogether. Not so, says Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin. They're just biding their time.

"We're not actually talking about the Wii U yet," Rubin told GameSpot (via Kotaku). "Because we want to keep it mysterious."

Stranger still is the game's release date. Rubin said he considers the Wii U "in the next-gen bin," which would seemingly count the Wii U version out of releasing alongside the PC and current generation console versions (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) on November 5. Ghosts is planning to launch on release day for the next-gen consoles, but the Wii U--a next-gen console, remember--is already out. So when is Wii U Ghosts coming? Who knows? Jason Rubin does, obviously, but he's not telling. Because mystery.
