If fancy a spot of trick-or-treating, you'll be able to change existing characters to Cathar at 2.1's new Appearance Designer Kiosk. "This is going to allow you to change your character's eye colour, hair style, body type, even their species," said producer Cory Butler in a video update.

Here's a peek at the Cathar on the prowl:

This is exactly the kind of update this game needs! It's going to take the MMO experience to new heights and give all the naysayers what they were asking for since the beginning!!!!11

I played it to level 42. It was fine for a MMO. People who like MMO's and Star Wars would play this game.

There I helped you puzzle things out. Just send me a SM next time you get confused over something.

I bought the game and was extremely disappointed. I like MMOs and star wars. As did many others who didnt enjoy it. Thanks.

The Cathar were in KOTOR so this doesn't seem unusual.

Shareholders are demanding Bioware find a way to make customers buy the game and pay the monthly fee while never playing the game so they can cut on server costs.

SWTOR couldn't compete with WOW, so now it's going to take on YouTube kitten videos?

Well, at least they're trying something I guess...

watching this video, and the animation of the cathar... i thought to myself "they dont really sell it, just looks like humans with a different head"

which is when it hit me (and im sure this is obvious to many) a lot of the reason wow's races really look different is cause they're actually different sizes, and more importantly, they're all animated differently. i know "wow is soul-sucking / boring / unbalanced / etc) and im not agreeing or disagreeing with that. but they do know how to differentiate characters well.

TF2 does it better still, though.

Indeed. What Alice said about them looking like humans wearing bad face paint nailed it.

There's been a ton of mmo's (ones that are older than WoW too) that do a better job than SWTOR with races. I don't think these guys know what they're doing.

Cathar. Someone really burned out a few brain cells coming up with that name. Probably was focus grouped. Might I suggest a wolf based race called the Wolfies.
