Resident Evil: Revelations demo confirmed for PC, 360, PS3, Wii U

While the Resident Evil series has been skidding downhill towards a foetid pit filled with bloated corpses since Resident Evil 4, Capcom pulled things back a bit with Resident Evil: Revelations on Nintendo 3DS. Now that it's coming to PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U too, you may be wondering, just how much better is it? You'll be able to judge for yourself, as a downloadable demo is coming to all four platforms "soon."

"The exact date is still TBD, but given that the game's out on May 21 ... it can't be far off," Capcom community manager Brett Elston wrote in today's announcement.

The shinied-up port boasts improved graphics, naturally, along with a new Infernal difficulty level which switches up enemy and item placement, and new enemies.

Our Ozzie opined in his review of the 3DS original, "When it sticks to horror, few survival horror games feel better than Resident Evil Revelations." Fingers crossed for the home edition.
