Deadly Premonition PS3 launch trailer gets weird

Deadly Premonition is one of the finest video games, but unfortunately the trailers for its long-awaited PlayStation 3 edition have been filled mostly with quotes from people saying just that. The launch trailer heralding the survival horror's arrival next week is thankfully more reserved, simply showing you many of its wonders and oddities without blather from loudmouths. But it really is one of the finest video games, you know.

The Director's Cut for PS3 brings reworked controls, improved graphics including some new textures and better lighting, and new playable bits at the beginning and end of the game. It'll also introduce DLC like new clothes; the trailer shows our hero York has some sharp new suits and you can force deputy sheriff Emily into an awful, horrible, terrible catgirl costume.

Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut hits PS3 next Tuesday, April 30. Hit the official website for more. I may need to buy a PS3.
