Orion: Dino Horde stampeding onto PC April 15

If you bought Orion: Dino Beatdown immediately upon discovering it featured dinosaurs and jetpacks and shooting dinosaurs whilst jetpacking, you may be feel a mite foolish as even developer Spiral Game Studios admits it's a bit of a stinker. Spiral's even offering said suckers a free copy of sequel Orion: Dino Horde, which it announced today will launch on PC on April 15.

While it's technically a sequel, Dino Horde sounds more like a revamp of Dino Beatdown, or even simply the game it was supposed to be all along. It boasts extra weapons, new netcode, better AI, updated graphics, new modes, and bags more, supposedly tripling the amount of "content."

Which will all come in handy, as a horde of dinosaurs is on the loose after all. The multiplayer FPS has five modes, which have you working either with or against others to win while 9 species of dinosaur rampage around, trying to devour everyone in their path.

Dino Beatdown had an appalling reception last year. When Spiral announced in February that it'd give Horde free to all Beatdown owners, it said, "This shouldn't even be a question on anyone's mind and we are extremely sorry about falling short on our first release and the problems you may have experienced."

Dino Horde will cost $14.99 when it launches on April 15 via Steam and other digital distributors. You may want to wait for reviews but gosh, Spiral is trying.
