December 3, 2012 needs something of a jolt, so have a Late Night Computing!

I know you've been dying to learn how my Italian conquest is going, but the answer remains the same as last Friday. Incomplete. Frankly, I'm not even sure what happened this weekend. There were movies and books and all the types of things that are easy to lose yourself in.

One of those movies just happened to be The Amazing Spider-Man, and I haven't been able to escape the thought that Peter Parker might just be the perfect candidate to become a part of my group in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. How many times have you gazed at that Borgia tower, wishing there were a quicker way to traverse it? Peter and Leonardo should get together and figure something out.

Chatty posts of the moment.

Make sure you log-in and check your filters if you can't see the following:

  • "Just finished Assassins' Creed III. Anybody else? What a disappointment. Not only story-wise (to be fair, I haven't been following it too closely because at some point it became way too convoluted), but it seems that Ubi decided to cut some of the mechanics from Revelations off but didn't evolve from there or put anything else on it's place. Bomb crafting? Yeah, sure, let's cut that because it sucks and leave the smoke bombs to the player - too bad the environments are way too open and there isn't much of a point to use them. Hunting? Waste of time. Crafting? Waste of time. Put fast travel everywhere, except that now there's isn't much of a point to do the side missions." [by Nitrium]

  • "Playing for the story. This discussion starts with a question: What series of games did you continue to play for the story, while having problems/dislike for the gameplay? Maybe you thought Assassin's Creed 2's gameplay wasn't so hot, but really dug Ezio as a character so you picked up Brotherhood to see the rest of his story? Perhaps you weren't a fan of Mass Effect but really wanted to see the trilogy reach its conclusion? So Shack I ask you, which series of game - or solo videogame - did you continue to play for its story while 'putting up with' its gameplay?" [by eonix]
