Crysis 3 trailer shows off alien tech, tunnel warfare

The urban rainforest of New York City is the playground for Crysis 3, unless you are the CELL troopers trying to stay alive as Prophet silently picks them off with his bow from stealth in his nanosuit. The trailer shows Prophet and "Psycho" Sykes searching for alien weapons in a not-so abandoned transit yard. Lots of firefights and explosions ensue, with the guys from CELL not coming out on the positive side.

The game is coming out in February 2013 on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. Pre-ordering the game will get you the original Crysis as a bonus.

Looks amazing; the gameplay looks a little dull in this video, but that's kind of a typical consequence of making these videos on a console controller. I'm pretty sure I'll have a blast with this one!

WOW!! That looked incredible. Didn't think it will look that good graphically...dat vegetation! Environments are breathtaking too.
And I've always enjoyed the Crysis gameplay, but the player in that video really sucked.

Insane visuals, but the game doesn't look that fun to me.

It all depends how you play it, if you just run around blasting everything like Robocop then it's not super entertaining, but if you go in there like a ninja it's pretty great.

3-4 minute in i got bored. either i'm developing some add in my old age or the series just died for me with crysis 2. i loved the first one (well minus the aliens crap), the addon was ok as well.

Thats because the non-aliens parts are the best. And they changed it to be more about aliens... Which is the exac opposite of fun. But they need to differentiate from the cods

Glad I'm not the only one who felt that way about Crysis 1 + Warhead.

Seems like a previous usage of the word "boring" that I was unaware of...??

That's because they were playing it wrong. The game is fun when you stealth that room like a mother fucker, silent kills all the way. Why they did a thermal scan only to run in guns blazing like that I'll never know, pretty dumb.

They made stealth trivial in Crysis 2 though. Too easy and boring. That game was at its best when you were running and gunning and jumping and climbing and sliding and air stomping, with cloak to flank some motherfuckers or just get out of danger.

Don't care much for super serious Psycho. Guess all that bravado went out the window when he had to ditch his nanosuit.

This really just looks like Crysis 2 with ferns and a bow. I'm not seeing anything here that harkens back to the fun of Crysis 1. The environments seem dull and bland. I don't know... I'm much more excited about Far Cry 3.

Is this Psycho the same voice actor as the one in the first Crysis? Sounds a bit different to me, though i haven't played Crysis 1 in a while so i could be wrong.

Pretty sure it's the same guy, his accent is not quite the same at times though.

Great graphics, but I get the distinct impression that the story will be uninvolving. C'mon, Crytek, give us a protagonist that we care about. It's writing 101.

Wow, this looks like it's a trailer of the PC version which is great to see. Plus, just...wow...amazing graphics...simply amazing.

Nice to see companies still pushing the boundaries instead of being held back by crappy console limitations. If you chose to play on a console, that's your issue - the rest of us who have higher-end PCs shouldn't have to miss out because of those choices.

Definitely looking forward to buying this at release. It's, now, officially on my radar in a big way.

Why do they always take such bad gamers for these trailers?
