After a delay, Rockstar has finally pinned down the date for Max Payne 3's "Hostage Negotiation" downloadable content. The company confirmed that it will hit PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on Tuesday, October 30.

As previously reported, the pack will give players four new maps (Club Moderno, Estadio Do Galatians, O Palacio Strip Club, and Favela Heights), along with an M24 Sniper Rifle, an IA2 Assault Rifle, Explosive Burst for booby traps, a Bomb Suit to protect against explosive damage, an Intimidation Mask to slow down enemy reload times, and a new avatar faction. It will cost you $9.99 if you're purchasing it separately, or included as part of the Rockstar Pass.

Is this DLC multiplayer or singleplayer?

So far, all DLC have been MP, this one is no different.

Which is a shame, since the MP isn't that good, and more SP content would be great

ABSOLUTELY WORST season pass I ever purchased. The MP sucks ass.

and the lesson here is: NO to season pass, YES to waiting for the DLC special deal 12 months later.

Then again, you could have tried the MP without buying the Season Pass and decide whether or not the thing was worth supporting it further.
