There is a catch, though. So what is it I want? Easy. Take a good, solid look at the fall release schedule. Gaze into your crystal ball (or shake the Magic 8-ball). Now tell me, which game do you think will be a surprise hit? And for the other side of the equation, which game do you think will flop? Tell me what you think in the comments below, and I'll select three winners.
Oh, you need to know what I'm giving away. Right. Well, I have two Steam copies of Thirty Flights of Loving for PC, and a Steam copy of The Walking Dead for PC (two episodes available now, three to come later). So let me know your answers, and I'll reveal the winners come Monday's LNC!
News bits.

Pertinant information: Headstart official begins Midnight PST but servers could go live as much as 3 hours in advance. Shack Guild will be on Maguuma, started by Frozen Pixel (note: if you roll elsewhere you can still join the guild)." [by InfoBiter]

I think torchlight 2 will be a suprise hit, selling many more than forecast through word of mouth once its released. I actually think D3 will help it because players who play both will spread the message to those who only play D3 and Torchlight 2 will sell 2 million plus copies.
I think Dishonored "flops" not because -
As far as surprise hits, on I think Tokyo Jungle has a chance of exploding, if the hype from my friends is any indication. The game is ridiculous (and looks very funny), and the rumblings I'm hearing suggest a surprising amount of hype for what would otherwise be a niche title.
As far as flopping, I really would not be surprised to see Far Cry 3 go down in flames. It's had some very weak coverage and will be going up against Halo 4, Borderlands 2, and Black Ops 2 for the holiday season. It's a weak franchise overall, as well. Not expecting a lot of sales. -
Black Ops 2 for both. I kind of expect it flop and break the cycle of the same MP game every single year from a big publisher. But what I see as overkill and overexposure, the die-hard fans who aren't burnt out and don't care that the last 4 games were almost exactly the same will probably still buy the shit out of it and make it the best selling Call of Duty yet.
At the same time they are actually doing something different with a near future setting rather than modern warfare or the past and that could also help or hurt them.
So I guess I don't care. Plus I already have Walking Dead & Thirty Flights of Loving, I'm just excited you found a cheap way to get more people to read LNC or at least learn of its new existence / rebirth. -

Yes I am there with you Dave. There was a day Eon's ago when we could out twitch, out think, and out game most gamer's. Now I need to make sure I have good chair support, can see through my hazy aged eyes well enough, of course plenty of fluids (coffee the beverage of champions), many bathroom breaks, and to top it off, 12 year old kids now own me in FPS games. That's all okay though because in retrospect I am happy and the best years are yet to come :)
