Tomb Raider Trilogy Confirmed, PS3-Bound March 22

2
Another trilogy of titles has been unearthed for remastered high-def revival on the PlayStation 3; however, this time the results are a little confusing. Confirming rumors that have been whispered in back alleys and dark corners since late 2010, Eidos has officially announced a Tomb Raider trilogy box set is coming--exclusively to the PlayStation 3.

The Tomb Raider Trilogy will launch for $39.99 on March 22. According to the PlayStation Blog, the set will include "remastered HD versions" of Tomb Raider Legend and Tomb Raider Anniversary. An odd choice of words considering both titles also saw release, with support for HD, on the Xbox 360 and PC. The trilogy set also includes Tomb Raider Underworld, which was already released on the PlayStation 3.

The trilogy also includes a few meager bonuses: a standard PS3 theme, behind-the-scenes video (I hope they show how they re-remastered a remastered HD remaster), and two PlayStation Home avatar costumes.

srsly, I bet we'll see a re-re-re-mastered version of these on the next generation of consoles in 5 years.
