Shrine of the Flamebearer Location - Octopath Traveler
Visit the Shrine of the Flamebearer in Octopath Traveler to unlock the Cleric secondary job class.
Octopath Traveler, the latest RPG from Square Enix, notably contains eight different characters with eight different jobs. However, players booting up the game will quickly notice that not all jobs are immediately available to all characters at any given time. Instead, those secondary jobs must be unlocked by finding shrines littered around the continent of Orsterra, often in hidden places. The Cleric job in particular is unlocked by discovering the location of the Shrine of the Flamebearer, and fortunately for players, we know just where to find it.
Where to Find the Shrine of the Flamebearer
The Shrine of the Flamebearer can be found toward the northwest end of the in-game map, being situated just south of the junction point known as the Western Stillsnow Wilds. From the save point and sign post, head due south, aiming slighty east to come around the rise of the hill. Circle back west to spot a torch sitting outside the cave entrance.
Once inside, follow the path east and then north to climb the stairs, then approach the altar. The heroes will hear the disembodied voice of Aelfric, Flamebringer, who will commend them for making it as far as they have. Aelfric will then make a kind offering by unlocking the Cleric as a secondary job class, at which point all heroes can begin their training as a healer.
There are seven other shrines that players must visit in order to unlock each of the core job classes in Octopath Traveler.
