E3 2018: Battlefield 5 Will Feature A Battle Royale Mode
After hinting that it's a possibility at the Battlefield 5 reveal, it has officially been confirmed at E3 2018.
EA is first up to bat with the official beginning of E3 2018 with the EA Play event. The first major title discussed is Battlefield 5 and all of the improvements coming to the multiplayer. The somewhat surprising reveal from the event is confirmation that Battlefield 5 will feature a battle royale mode.
Previously immobile defensive weapons are now mobile and the destructive engine that has become a Battlefield staple is enhanced with the ability to reinforce structures in Battlefield 5.
The single-player will be shown off during the Microsoft conference and you can see the full E3 2018 conference schedule here. Here are a few other highlights from EA Play 2018:
- Anthem gets a release date and gameplay trailer
- Sea of Solitude joins EA Originals
- New Battlefield 5 multiplayer trailer
- Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order announced
