All Tome Locations in Warhammer: Vermintide 2
Tomes are hidden all throughout the Warhammer: Vermintide 2 main campaign, and we know where to find them.
In addition to a host of collectibles like weapons or upgrades, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 players will also be seeking out Tomes. Not only are these powerful items able to provide players with additional experience, they also reward them with extra bonus points toward the loot boxes earned after completing each mission. Considering their benefits, players would do well to seek out the Tomes spread throughout each of the game's missions. Luckily, we know where to start the search.
Tomes provide Vermintide 2 players with considerable boosts to end-mission loot chests, but that benefit doesn't come cheap. Not only do players have to find each Tome, they also have to equip them in their inventory's healing item slot. Fortunately, it is possible to drop the Tome in order to pick up and use a dropped healing item — just be sure to reclaim the Tomes afterward and carry them toward the end of the mission.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 - Act 1 Tome Locations
Both Tomes and Grimoires are a great way for players to increase the amount of experience and the level of loot gained at the end of each mission. Unlike Grimoires, Tomes don't actively inhibit a player's health, though they do prevent them from carrying healing items. Still, players willing to trade safety for experience would do well to nab all three Tomes in each Act 1 mission, where the odds aren't stacked so highly against them.
All Tome Locations in Righteous Stand
Righteous Stand - Tome #1
The first Tome in Vermintide 2 is hidden in exactly the sort of conspicuous location seasoned game players might expect. After reaching Franz Erikson Platz, look around the game's natural path to spot a wooden ramp leading to an overturned cart. Face the ramp then look left to spot a different wooden cart over near the rear gate. Head closer, then hop on top of the cart to spot the Tome nestled among some open crates below.
Righteous Stand - Tome #2
The second tome in Vermintide 2's first mission comes shortly after players cross over a narrow wall. In the distance, players will spot a gatehouse structure in the distance just beyond a short drop into the new area. Approach it, climb the stairs, then turn to the rightmost door and walk through. In the room, a hole can be noticed in the wooden platform, and the Tome will be hiding inside.
Righteous Stand - Tome #3
The third and Tome to be found in Righteous Stand can be located right near the end of the mission area, just outside of the Temple. Players should follow the path forward through the grassy area, then look for the staircase. To the left of the staircase will be a low wall of bushes that players can push through to spot a hidden area with the Tome laying out on the open.
All Tome Locations in Convocation of Decay
Convocation of Decay - Tome #1
The first Tome in Convocation of Decay can be found inside the Temple Hospice, near the end of the room sitting atop some old bunk beds.
Convocation of Decay - Tome #2
Tome number two is located within the Garrison Sewers area of the mission. Where the tunnels split, stick to the left-hand path to eventually come to a room with a patchwork slatted wall; the Tome will be sitting atop the adjacent stone stairway.
Convocation of Decay - Tome #3
The last Tome players will want to track down in Convocation of Decay is near the end at Carlomant's Memoriam. Players will spot a shrine surrounded by spiked iron walls — the Tome will be sitting in front of the memorial, just behind the stone coffin.
All Tome Locations in Hunger in the Dark
Hunger in the Dark - Tome #1
Players will likely spot the first Tome in Hunger in the Dark easily. Just within The Backfill, toward the rear of the area will be several potions; the Tome will be hidden among them.
Hunger in the Dark - Tome #2
Taking a ride on the cart will land players in the area known as The Transfer. After the name of the location pops up on screen, look toward the right side of the path to spot a crate with the Tome hidden within.
Hunger in the Dark - Tome #3
The last Tome to be found takes place in the Old Troll Grounds area of Hunger in the Dark. Inside the caves players will likely see a series of rocks they can jump around in a specific order that will lead to the final Tome sitting on a ledge near the middle of the area.
All Tome Locations in Halescourge
Halescourge - Tome #1
The first Tome in Halescourge can be found just before players exit the Von Mackensen Strasses. On the left side of the stairway leading to the exit, players will find a crate blocking a hole in the wall. Crawl through the hole to enter a small room with the Tome sitting within.
Halescourge - Tome #2
Players will have to brave the water to get the second Tome in Halescourge. Outside of the Merchant District players will spot a boat on the water just within jumping distance. Launch toward it, climb the nearby ladder, then follow the wall until another boat can be seen below; the Tome will be sitting inside.
Halescourge - Tome #3
The third and final Tome in Halescourge can be located when concluding the landslide event. Look for the nearby buildings then climb to the top floor to locate the final Tome sitting inside the tower on a bookshelf.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 - Act 2 Tome Locations
As players move deeper into Warhammer: Vermintide 2's second act, the Tome locations will become even more elusive. Players will have to move away from the beaten path to find these missions' Tomes, but the rewards are certain to be worth the extra effort.
All Tome Locations in Athel Yenlui
Athel Yenlui - Tome #1
The first Tome to be found in the Athel Yenlui mission is just outside of the Wilds, where players will likely be following the "Proceed Through the Wilds" objective. Just after the mission marker pops up, turn to the right and head straight until spotting an old tree fallen over nearby a stone pillar. After proceeding through the tree, turn to the right to spot a wooden crate — inside will be the this mission's first Tome.
Athel Yenlui - Tome #2
After locating the first Tome, follow the wall on the right side of the area until reaching a small stony cliff. Squeeze along the right hand side, then look down to spot a wooden crate containing the second Tome.
Athel Yenlui - Tome #3
The third and final Tome in Athel Yenlui is located toward the end of the mission. Players will eventually come upon a ruin set amid the forest; inside will be a ramp that heads to a short cliff. Drop down and head toward the right side of the area to spot yet another short rocky cliff. Climb up to spot the Tome near a wooden plank set between two stones.
All Tome Locations in Screaming Bell
Screaming Bell - Tome #1
The first Tome in Screaming Bell can be spotted a considerable distance away, sitting just inside a tattered building window on the first floor. To get to it, players will need to climb the building's staircase, walk out onto the balcony, walk to the left side, then jump onto the outcropping with the wooden box below. Once safely landed, players will be able to walk across the outer walls to reach the Tome.
Screaming Bell - Tome #2
Tome number two is resting just within Spucknapf Market. Players should start by walking under the bridge then hugging the left wall of the area, walking until a ladder can be spotted. Climb the ladder to reach an area that requires the players to jump precisely to reach the Tome sitting in a crate on the opposite side.
Screaming Bell - Tome #3
The final Tome in Screaming Bell is hidden away within Von Bisschenbesser Strasse. Players traveling down the game's natural path will eventually spot a walkway between two buildings marked by an arch; walk through, then follow the wall to find another hidden pathway leading to the Tome.
All Tome Locations in Fort Brachsenbrucke
Fort Brachsenbrucke - Tome #1
The first Tome in this mission can be found shortly after players encounter a fork in the path. When faced with a decision to go under the bridge or over the river, follow the water toward the end of the road. There players will spot the Tome hidden among the brush.
Fort Brachsenbrucke - Tome #2
Along the mission path, players will eventually spot a convoy of covered wagons around Eilhart Road. Climb on top of them and jump across the wagons to eventually reach the Tome sitting on the ground atop a short rocky cliff.
Fort Brachsenbrucke - Tome #3
The location of the third Tome in Fort Brachsenbrucke depends on which paths players have been following. If Barsch Ford leads players down the right-hand path, the Tome can be found by keeping to the right in the Eile Headland, spotting the path that spirals up the side of the rocks, then following it up and jumping across to the Tome.
If Ford lead players straight, drop down into the Eile South Bank and start looking toward the left side of the area to spot the Tome sitting on a natural shelf. It can be grabbed by circling around and using the rocks as a jumping puzzle up to the ledge above.
All Tome Locations in Into the Nest
Into the Nest - Tome #1
The first Tome in Into the Nest is sitting within the dark walls of Gorog Drin. Before dropping down into the new area, look for a ramp near the medical drop. Follow it up and around the corner to find the Tome.
Into the Nest - Tome #2
Players can find the second Tome near the lever used to extend the bridge. Look just behind the lever to see the Tome sitting on the ground below.
Into the Nest - Tome #3
The third and final Tome in Into the Nest is in the area known as Kron Khaz. In the big room with the sunlight shining down on planets below, look for a minecart on the second story; the Tome will be resting inside.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 - Act 3 Tome Locations
Like the missions before it, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 third act missions each have three hidden Tomes for players to seek out. As mission difficulty increases, however, so will the difficulty in holding on to each Tome. With that said, these late-game missions provide players with plenty of experience, and serious heroes won't want to lose out on bonus experience by leaving these Tomes behind.
All Tome Locations in Against the Grain
Against the Grain - Tome #1
Shortly after reaching the Mill, players will want to head toward the overturned wagon that's spilled its supply of hay. Using the top of the wagon, jump over the fence and follow its course back toward the Mill. The first Tome will be hidden just beyond a wooden platform that players will have to jump across.
Against the Grain - Tome #2
The second Tome in the third Vermintide 2 mission can be found shortly after the player fights the Rat Ogre. The battle takes place just outside of a barn, and once the conflict has concluded, players should head inside and follow the ladder up to the second story. Once elevated, players will can drop into the new area and use the second ladder to progress forward until reaching a wall. On the right side of this wall is a window that will allow players to access a nearby platform — jump to it and claim the Tome.
Against the Grain - Tome #3
Just after players claim the second Tome, they'll drop off from the platform and continue into a swamp environment. Once arrived, turn left and follow the path until a wall with jutting rocks can be seen. Turn left once again and dive into the water — don't worry, it isn't deep enough to cause damage. Wade through the muck until a fallen tree can be seen, then look for the third Tome hiding inside a crate just beneath the surface of the water.
All Tome Locations in Empire in Flames
Empire in Flames - Tome #1
Shortly after players make their way through the first ruined house, they'll have to drop down to follow the path outside. Once there, look for the burned house with the floor left standing; the Tome will be hiding in the back corner of the area.
Empire in Flames - Tome #2
Players can find the second Tome shortly after heading through the old wine cellar. At the end of a long hallway, players will spot a skeleton through a hole in the wall with the Tome sitting on the floor nearby.
Empire in Flames - Tome #3
The third and final Tome in Empire in Flames can be found during the escape portion near the end of the mission. The last building players will escape has a ramp — follow it up to the room with the missing walls. Once there, carefully jump around the exposed wall to the adjacent room, then drop down to the ground floor to grab the Tome.
All Tome Locations in Festering Ground
Festering Ground - Tome #1
At one point in the missions, players will come upon Freznik's Footbridge. Before crossing the rope-and-plank nightmare, look for the ladder on the right-hand side. Follow it up and walk down the path to be confronted by a large jump — make it across to claim the Tome beyond. Alternatively, some players have been able to jump up and claim the Tome through the floor below.
Festering Ground - Tome #2
Players can find the second Tome within the area known as Buckhorn Gorge. Walk the wooden planks and follow the trail to the outside of the area to spot an overturned crate with the Tome within.
Festering Ground - Tome #3
The third and final Tome can be found in the ruined Old Chapel, just beyond a stairway leading to a ledge, sitting on a nearby rooftop.
All Tome Locations in The War Camp
The War Camp - Tome #1
Not long into The War Camp, players will come across an old house known as Old Andreas' Den. The mission's first Tome will be inside sitting on top of a shelf.
The War Camp - Tome #2
The second Tome is found in the swapy area known as Froschdorf. Follow the path through the muck and check inside the second to last house on the left-hand side of the trail; the Tome will be inside.
The War Camp - Tome #3
The third Tome in The War Camp is sitting right out in the open, hanging from a pole set in the water in the area known as Zuhause Gully. Keep to the right side of the area to spot the pole and Tome near the rock wall.
All Tome Locations in The Skittergate
The Skittergate - Tome #1
The first Tome in the final Warhammer: Vermintide 2 mission can be found just underneath the ramshackle hut housing the lifting platform. Walk around the right side of the structure to find the Tome sitting on the ground.
The Skittergate - Tome #2
Players will find the second Tome in the area known as Nagvik, within the caves just before entering the Bay of Fins. Before dropping down into the new area, take the path upward from the left hand side to jump across a few rocks before landing on the iceberg with the Tome.
The Skittergate - Tome #3
The final Tome to be found in Warhammer: Vermintide 2 can be found within the Rotblood War Camp. Take out the area boss, then follow the crooked path up the hill, keeping an eye out for a low wooden wall. Once spotted, follow the wall to find a gap, then walk through and jump over the crates to spot the Tome hiding in a chest at the far side.
