Red Dead Redemption Release Date Announced by Rockstar Games

Take-Two Interactive just confirmed Red Dead Redemption will release on October 26, 2018. Rockstar Games, has announced that Red Dead Redemption 2, which was planned for release during Spring 2018, is now going to release on October 26, 2018. They apparently need more time to polish the finished product.

Here is a letter from Rockstar Games' official blog:

Dear All,

We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.

We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.

Take-Two Interactive also reaffirmed their full-year guidance for fiscal 2019, but the stock dropped almost $9/share on the initial news after recovering a bit. Take-Two Interactive is currently rated "Don't Buy" in our Game Trader Stock Ratings.
