PayDay 2 Release Date Announced for Nintendo Switch

Overkill’s popular heist-shooter comes to the hottest hybrid console on the market next month

Nintendo’s heavily rumored direct finally hit this morning, bringing some intense fan speculation to a close. There were several nuggets of information dropped during this presentation, one of which was that PayDay 2 would be landing on the Nintendo Switch in a little over a month. PayDay 2 originally released in 2013 and was developed by Overkill Software. The game lets you, along with up to four friends cooperate to plan out and execute heist, earn money, and build your career as a hardened criminal.

On Nintendo’s website, it’s stated that PayDay 2 will have several perks on the Switch. These include full touch screen menu support, rumble feature when shooting or throwing grenades, and a local multiplayer mode. In addition, the game will come with brand new character Joy, a hacker that will come with her own weapons and mask.

PayDay 2 will cost $49.99 USD when it hits the Nintendo Switch on February 28.
